Thank you for your reply.
I don't know the womans name. The only thing I know about her is she was a sister
to my gr grandfather, born Hesse Darmstadt Germany. All the children who came were born
between 1812 and 1820. She did have 1 brother that came over to Clark Co Indiana and they
were supposed to have lived fairly close to each other. In one of her brothers obituaries
in 1916 it states she is still living in Floyd County Indiana. Thats all I know.
I would appreciate any help you can be.
Thanks
June

Hi June,
Do you have access to Ancestry.com? I would do a census search in the 1910 and 1920
census using her first name, approximate birthdate, and country of birth.
If you don't have Ancestry, let me know the details and I'll see if I can find her
for you.
Robin

Subject: [INFLOYD] How to
How would you begin to look for a female who came to America after she was married and
you don't know the mans name? She, without mentioning her name, is mentioned in her
brothers obit as still alive in Floyd Co Indiana. Also in my gr uncles obit as his
sister, still alive in 1916 in Floyd Co Indiana. Her maiden name was Hofmeister. It has
been seen as Hoffmeister and Hoffmaster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
June
