Obituary
NEW ALBANY -- Joseph S. Nye, 75, passed away Sunday at his home. An informal memorial
service will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2003, in the Culture Hall of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1534 Slate Run, New Albany. Generations
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. .

Obituary
NEW ALBANY -- Joseph S. Nye, 75, passed away Sunday at his home. A native of Corydon, IN,
he was a retired boilermaker for Local 374 in Hammond, IN, and a retired pipefitter for
Local 522 in Louisville. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Henryville, IN, and a
32nd Degree Mason at the Valley of Indianapolis (IN). Joseph was a US Army veteran and
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in New Albany. He is survived by
his wife, Betty Sue Nye; two sons, Gregory N. and Joseph C., both of New Albany; three
brothers, Gene and George Nye of Corydon and J.R. Faith of New Albany; a sister, Molly Nye
of Ft. Wayne, IN; two granddaughters, Erika and Jennifer Nye; one grandson, Zachary Nye;
and one great-grandson, Tristain Nye. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward
Nye. A memorial service will be held at a later date. His body was cremated. Generations
Funeral Home in New Albany is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Nye requested that
expressions of sympa!
thy be made by doing a good deed for someone. .
