Jan, thank you so much. Amazing that I missed both of those in my own searches. Just
shows it's good to ask others for help!

The 1900 Floyd Co. IN Census lists her birth day as Mar 1879. They are
listed on the census as Emory.
The Floyd Co. Newspaper index returns the following result which is an
obituary dated 1959 07 01:

My great-aunt, Edith Flora married William Embrey on 4 Jun 1898 in
Clark Co., Indiana. I'm trying to find Edith's birth and death dates. Her
sister, Maude, is my grandmother (I have a lot of information about that part of the
family if anyone is interested.)
William Henry Embrey was b. 20 Sep 1877 in Floyd Co.; he d. 20 Mar 1968 in Jefferson,
Clark Co. He worked for the Courier Journal & Times at the time of his WWII draft
registration. I don't know anything about his parents or if he had any siblings.
In 1957, when I was a child, my family visited them. I remember the visit vividly.
Uncle Wil grew wonderful tomatoes, and it was the first time I ever saw fireflies.
Amazing what remains in memory sometimes!
So, I know Aunt Edith was living in 1957. An article about a family reunion was
published in the newspaper in 1962 and she was not listed in the article. Perhaps she had
died by then. Uncle Will's death notice lists no family members.
As an aside, the library's newspaper index mistakenly indexes the Embrey surname as
Emery or Emory.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
