April 3. *A Visit With Olivia and Harriet.* Two living historians will share
their stories. Melissa Wiseheart will portray Olivia Butterfield, New
Albany Public Library's first librarian, and Mandy Dick will present as
Harriet Scribner, the last owner of the historic Scribner House.
May 1. *Finding First Families in Floyd, Clark, and Harrison Counties.* A
work-shop to help researchers document the earliest settlers in the
counties. Scheduled speakers are from the New Albany-Floyd County,
Jeffersonville Township, and Harrison County Public Libraries. SIGS will
celebrate its 35th anniversary. Refreshments will be served.
June 5. Showing of* "New Albany: City by the River*, a historical
documentary about New Albany by Daniel Frank and Philip Collins.
July 3. *Genealogical Kaleidoscope. *Several speakers will present a
variety of family history research topics.
