I find a marriage of a Walter Sinex to a Mary A. Hartzell in Lawrence
County in September 1892 with a son born April 1895. I also have a
marriage of a Walter Sinex to Ottilia Zipp in Floyd County in October
1895 with their first child born December 1896. I find that Mary A.
Hartzell also married in 1898 to a Lewis Mathewson. In a later census
Lewis & Mary A (Ann, Annie, Amy) are shown with "her" son Walter Sinex
and given as "step-son" of Lewis. So I am on the right trail. Now I
need to know if/where I might find a divorce record for Walter & Mary
A/Ann/Annie/Amy and whether Lawrence County or Floyd County. Any
and/or all help will be gratefully appreciated.

I found my great grandfather's divorce papers right in the Lawrence County courthouse.
It was i 1889.
