You should be able to get the records that way, unless Floyd Co no longer
has theirs. Some IN counties have all their records, some de-accessed
their records to other institutions, some had accidential losses through
fires and floods, and some can't even tell you where they are/were. If you
write to the Co clerk, you will find out whether the records are available
and cost. Give as much information as you can. Go to the INGENWEB main
page and find Floyd Co's page for more specific address.
