All but three members of the Thomas HOPSON/Jane GOWAN family members
removed to DeSoto, Jefferson Co. MO by 1874, with migration beginning with
brothers, John and James in 1851. Thomas and children Sarah and Henry died
and are buried in Greenville Twp. IN.
John Hopson has a land entree in Harrison Co NE Section 9 township 1 range 4
east 160 acres 28 October 1809.
Also listed is one William L. Hopson with Clark Co. SE section 1 township 2
range 5 January 1816
Does anyone know of this William L. Hopson? Is he related to John Hopson?
I am trying to gather and put together as many puzzle pieces as I can to try
to determine the origins of HOPSON family.
