Andrew Yerkes, a member of the Twenty-Third Indiana Volunteers, who died last week at
Galena, left six motherless children. The G. A. R. will send the children to the
Soldier's Orphans' Home.
Andrew Yerkes was buried in the Galena Cemetery in Galena, Floyd County, Indiana. He was
with Co C. 23. Indiana Inf.
