The Indiana State Archives is the
official repository for all Indiana naturalization records prior to 1951*
as designated by the Indiana Rules
of Court, Administrative Rule 7. The
archives is pursuing the acquisition of naturalization records from the
counties for the purposes of
conservation and to provide greater
public access to this valueable Hoosier historical resource, but, at this
time, not all naturalization
records reside in the Archives. Please
refer to this page often, as the Archives expects to continue adding
information to the database as
the records become available.
All naturalization records accessioned
by the Archives are microfilmed and a portion of the information they
contain is entered into a
searchable database. The results of the
database search will include the following fields: Surname, first name,
nationality, date of arrival,
and county book and page location. A
complete naturalization record may be obtained by contacting the Archives.
*Note: These records do not include
order books, which are held as permanent records by the counties.

Due to spelling errors I searched using only the first initial of last
name and County and it worked.
