Surname: Dunn, McFarland, McNutt, Casseday, Black, Beard
-------------------------
Ex-Rev. James DUNN, an unfrocked Presbyterian minister from Co. Londonderry,
Ireland, settled finally in Kentucky. He died "near Louisville", in 1823.
His daughter, Rosanna, married first Robert MC NUTT; their daughter, Eliza
MC NUTT, died unmarried in Louisville 2 January 1879. Rosanna then married
her cousin from Ireland, Patrick MC FARLAND. Their daughter, Eliza MC FARLAND,
married Samuel CASSEDAY, wealthy merchant of Louisville. James DUNN's son,
Richardson DUNN, lived in Floyd Co., Indiana. He died in 1844 and is buried
in Old Salem Cemetery. Other related surnames in Floyd Co. are BEARD and
BLACK. The above information is from "A Complete Family Record: Descendants
of ... Rev. James DUNN", compiled by Benj. J. Gunn, 1891.
Since "near Louisville" includes Floyd Co., (Rev.) James DUNN may have
died there. Can anyone find a record of his residence in Floyd Co., or
his death, burial or obituary?
