Looking for further information, and other descendants of the Baylor's
who appear in Georgetown Twnshp, Floyd CO., IN,
in the 1850 census. In this census, have located two families of Baylor's,
with both names being spelled as "Bailer".
Entry 973, at 1006, is George 65 b. VA, and wife Eve age 64 b. VA, who
wld be Eve Argenbright, (marriage bond dated
1813). In same household, Julia Ann 22 b. IN, Sarah 16 b. IN, Mary Jane
15 b. IN.
Entry 980, at 1113, is Christian Baylor 31 b. IN, and wife Catherine 25
b. IN. In same household, Elizabeth 5 b. IN,
Christan (sp?) Ann 3, Eva Ann 3*, Mary Ann 1.
Does anyone know how these 2 families are related? Are they father and
son? And, does anyone have the lineage or
correct "BAYLOR" parent out of VA, for George Baylor who married into the
ARGENBRIGHT family of Augusta Co,
VA.?
Our connection to this group is Eva Ann* Baylor, daughter of Christian
and Catherine Baylor, who married Squire J. Martin, 22 Sept., 1865, which
would be my husband's 2nd great grandparents, on his mother's maiden side.
