Hello all,
I am trying to find the birth and death information for my great-aunt, Edith Flora. Her sister, Maude Flora, was my grandmother.
According to census, Edith was born about 1879 in Indiana. I am guessing that she was born in New Albany, based on information I have about my grandmother and another sister, Margaret. There were also three brothers in this family (Francis Gilbert, Eugene Theodore, and William B.).
Edith married William Henry Embry (or Embrey) on 4 Jun 1898 in Clark Co., Indiana. I know they were still living in the area in 1957, when I visited them. I have found a death notice for William for 20 Mar 1968 but the notice did not mention any family.
I have searched the library's online newspaper index but have found nothing about Edith's birth or death.
I do know that Edith and William had at least four children (Francis Henry, Jesse William, Floyd D., and Edith Flora).
Is anyone else researching this family? I am happy to share what I have on the rest of the Flora siblings.
Thanks,
Betty

Does anyone have information about Daniel Stout, Amos Stout and other Stouts born or living in Floyd Co, IN? Probably after 1802 to 1830. They then moved on to Monroe Co, IN.
Amos married Sarah Rusk. Daniel was his father & was married to Sarah Jennings Davis.

What are the names you are researching in this cemetery?
Pictures of gravestones for some Floyd County cemeteries is being added to
the Floyd County page on INGenWeb. However, Hillcrest does not have any
pictures yet. Southern Indiana Genealogical Society has a publication "Floyd
County Cemeteries Volume II" and it has the transcription of the stones in
the book. If you send me your names, I can look them up for you. You may
decide that you want the book anyway. Write me privately for the price.
[Some pics may be on f i n d a g r a v e dot c o m but don't know
how many, if any.]
