Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

No, they didn't. Their marriage was extremely rocky, but they never divorced. Pearl died at a young age. Pearl Clarenda Jenkins was her name.

Revival services will be conducted tonight at the German M. E. Church. A cordial inviatation extended to all.
The funeral of J. D. Minshall took place at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning from the family residence in Lafayette township, near Scottsville. The interment was in Bethlehem cemetery.
A new church ins being erected on the site of the old Bethlehem church in Lafayette township. The building is nearly completed and is a neat, substantial frame structure, which will cost about $1,200.
Manzanita Tribe No. 276 Improved Order of Red Men will be instituted on Thursday night of this week at Feiock's Hall. Pawnee Tribe, of this city, and a number of Red Men from Louisville and Jeffersonville will take part in the ceremonies.
The funeral of Mrs. Mary Armstrong took place at 10:30 o'clock this morning from the family residence at 516 West Market street, and was attended by a large number of the relatives and friends of the deceased. Rev. E. E. Vest, of Seymour , and Rev. F. A. Steelle, of Wesley Chapel, conducted the services.
Officer Ed Pierce, of the police force, tendered his resignation this morning to the Board of Public Commissioners, which will be accepted. He will take a position as engineer on the Air Line. Mr. Pierce has been a member of the police force for the past four years and has made an efficient officer. Hiss successor has not yet been named.
Charles Stamper, a railroad switchman, who resides in this city, was seriously injured by a falling from a car Saturday night in the B. & O. S. W. yards at Jeffersonville. He was badly cut and bruised about the head and body but is thought not to be dangerously h urt. Shortly after the accident he was conveyed to his home on Main street.
The funeral of the late James Durnell, whose death occurred at Tuscaloosa, Ala., took place at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the residence of his son, Mr. Marcellus Durnell, 1607 East Spring street. New Albany Commandery Knights Templar had charge of the funeral, deceased being the oldest Knight of that Commandery. His age was ninety-two years. The burial was in Fairview cemetery.
Simon Reilley, who, over fifty years ago engaged in the grocery business in New Albnay, and has resided here ever since, died att his home at 214 West First street, Sunday night of the debility of age. His age wsas eighty-three years. He retired from the grocery business a number of years ago and engaged as a book agent, selling in this city many of the notable books published in recent years. . . . . He was a member of th e M. E. Church for over fifty years, and his life was that of a true Christian. He hd been a sufferer from affliction for severral years . . . . A wife and three children--two daughters and one son--survive him--Miss Philura S. REilleyk, a teacher in the public schoolls, and Mr. Osborne G. Reilley, bookkeeper for E. T. Slider's coal business, eing among his children. Funeral Wendnesday afternoon at 2:30.

His Death at St. Louis on Sunday Morning, November 19th, Aged Sixty-Five Years. -- Funeral at New Albany Tuesday Afternoon at 2:30 O'clock, From the Residence of Dr. L. D. Levi . . . . . His wife , three sons and four daughters survive him. The surviving children are Lyman Voyles, who resides on the farm in Harrison county,; Dr. Stephen Voyles, of St. Louis, Mrs. Hettie Levi, wife of Dr. L. D. Levi, and Mrs. Sallie Ellis, wife of attorney Wilbur R. Ellis, of this city. Mrs. Jessie Brubeck, wife of Charles Brubeck, Harrison County; D. W. Voyles, Jr., and Miss Bessie Voyles, of St. Louis. . . . . The remains of Dr. Voyles will arrive in the city Tuesday morning and be taken to the residence of his son-in-law, Dr. L. D. Levi, Spring street, between Bank and East Third, from whence the funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The Southern Indiana Genealogical Society will met tonight, Thursday, May 7, 7:00 pm in the lower level of the New Albany Public [Indiana] Library [Floyd County] in the Strassweg Auditorium.
The monthly meeting will feature Susan Covey who will present "EARLY WAR PENSION RECORDS"
Susan will discuss how to locate and use pension records from the Revolutionary through Spanish American Wars. These records can be a goldmine of information for the family researcher, often with information exceeding just names and dates
