Am interested in the Thomas Campbell monument. Cannot read dates etc and
wondered if there may be any connection of him to Sarah Campbell who married
Andrew Sinex in 1832? Family lore states she had two brothers (names
unknown of course) and that one was a lawyer. Don't recall if any "trade"
mentioned for other brother, but possibly a school teacher, since Andrew was
a "first" school teacher in Owens County circa 1825.

Karen,
Thanks for your quick and thorough response. You provided a goldmine.
1. Sarah Jane Walts m. Abraham Moser - bingo! That provided her 1st husband's given name.
2. 1850 Census data - right on. I suspected that they might have been in Harrison Co., with so many Mosers and Walts living there. It nakes me wonder how Hiram Hopper, from Greenville, met her. But I am sure that he travelled the area with his brick and quarry business. Sarah's and Susan's age both match what I had previously. Daughter Caroline is new to me, but I suspect that she died at a very young age since she never appears again. Nevertheless, she fills a gap in the ages between Susan and Marion.
The 1870 census information for Mary E. Moser (living in the Pectol household) could be correct. The age is close enough. I will investigate further.
Susan Mosier could indeed be the same as Susan Moser. I have seen the name spelled both ways in Floyd and Harrison Counties. She would have been 22 years old when married to John Evinger in 1871, which seems about right. Same thing with her sister Marion. This is interesting too, since Mattie Utz would have been from one of my ancestral families as well.
Marion's second marriage listed for 1907 is questionable, but worth pursuing further.
Finally, I had stumbled across that same 1870 census entry for Albert Hopper. The age is about right, but the Kentucky birth made me suspicious. I will have to examine that more.
Again, thanks for all your help. If I can provide any help for your research, let me know. I have OTT, ROTH, HOPPER, SUMMERS, UTZ, and BAKER information.

Message Board Post:
I am searching for information regarding Albert and Martha HOPPER who were born about 1857/8 and 1859, respectively, in Greenville, Floyd Co. to Hiram (Highram) and Sarah HOPPER.
Sarah was Hiram's second wife, and was a widow when they were married in 1856. At the time of their marriage, Sarah had three children from her first marriage named Susan (b. abt 1849), Marion (b. abt 1854), and Mary (b. abt 1855) MOSER. Sarah's first husband's given name is unknown. Sarah's maiden name was WALTS or WALZ. Both MOSER and WALTS are fairly prominent family names in Floyd and Harrison Counties.
Sarah (WALTS/MOSER) HOPPER died in late 1860 or early 1861, and Hiram soon married the widow Catherine Brown, who had been a neighbor in Greenville. In the 1860 census, taken shortly before Sarah's death, she and all five of the children appeared in the HOPPER household, along with children from Hiram's first marriage. In the 1870 census, however, of the five children in question, only Martha HOPPER, age 11, is still shown as living in the HOPPER household. Her brother Albert, who would have been about 13, is not there, nor are the three children born to Sarah and her first husband. Detailed searches of other online records could not locate any of the four missing children.
It seems likely that after Sarah HOPPER died, the three children from her first marriage may have gone to live with their MOSER or WALTS relatives. Perhaps Albert HOPPER did as well, since no records are available to indicate otherwise.
