We have not been able to find that information yet so if you do find it be sure and post it on the Query board so that we all might gain from the information. Which son does Richard descend from?

Can someone tell me what records and the earliest dates are avilable for research in Floyd Co? My family was in New Albany sometime between 1857 and 1870. I am looking for tax or land records and birth and death records for the family of Calvin J. and Emily (Amelia) PAGE Williams. They moved there from Hart CO., KY. and had 3 children there. Joanna and Joseph T. Williams were born in Sep 1859 and then John J. Williams between 1861 and 1866. I am sure that Joanna and Joseph both died there as they are never mentioned again after the 1860 census. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Glen

Gosh so much info and I do thank you... I married a Robert W Lyons and we had two children (Tony Wayne and Rene' Lee). Roberts mother was Hazel Jackson. Her father was John A Jackson and her mother was Elizabeth Starr. On Hazels mothers side .. Elizabeths parents were Joseph Starr and Catherine Mary Jackson.. Going with Catherine Mary Jackson her parents were Harrison Jackson and Serilda Starr. AND then Serildas parents were John Starr and Nancy Bailey... What I find interesting about their lineage is the two lines of Starrs. Their other lineage of Joseph Starr who married C. Mary Jackson. Josephs father Thomas Starr was also b. in KY and I honestly believe that he and John Starr were either brothers or related. Can't find either one of tho in KY... grrrrr. ha! If you are interested in any dates or more info on this lineage let me know and I will let you have what I have. It may me a little bit of time but I will do my best. Betty..

Message Board Post:
Hi, good to hear from a "relative"...
I have Louisa Starr, b. 7/4/1834 in Clark County, Indiana, d. 9/9/1877, in Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana. Louisa's parents were, as you said, John Starr. I have some (or all?) of Louisa's siblings:
1. Paulina Starr, m. Jeremiach "Jerry" Jackson - son Jasper Jackson
2. Serilda Starr m. Harrison Jackson
3. Matilda Starr, b. 5/9/1830 m. George Jackson, Sr.
Louisa's 3 sisters married 3 brothers. The Jackson boys' parents were:
Zephaniah Jackson, b.1785 in Virginia, m. Fanny Kendall abt. 1810 in Kentucky.
The Jackson brothers had 1 sibling, Mary Ann Jackson, b. 2/22/1817, that did not marry one of the Starr girls (a parallel scenario), but, interestingly enough, Mary Ann Jackson married 3/13/1834 (and had 10 kids) in Indiana none other than Daniel Coats, b 9/9/1811, whose parents were Thomas Hezekiah Coats, b. abt. 1770, in Virginia, d. bet 1827-1833 and Catherine Plott, b. abt. 1873, in Bowling Green, Warren Co. Ky, d. about 1832 in Harrison Co. Indiana. They married about 1792 in Pennsylvania and had 16 children! Mary Ann was the 4th of the 16 kids. One of Daniel Coats and Mary Ann Jackson's children was William Coats.
So, as confusing as this all is, it boils down to this: 3 of Williams' uncles on his mother's side (Mary Ann Jackson's brothers) each married one of his wife, Louisa's, sisters! Yikes!
Also have a little more info: I have an alternate DOB for Louisa of 4/7/1834, but I think the July one is correct. Louisa is buried at "Swayback Cemetery" (no kidding) in Clark County, Indiana. (Souce: a 4th or 5th counsin's papers from her mother.)
As for William Coats (Louisa's husband): I have him born 7/10/1835 in Cherokee Nation, Native American (LDS website, IGI report, film # 1903527); died 10/30/1921. Military service: Civil War, Co. B, IUS, VV Engineers, (Rootsweb Connect EUNICE/MITCHELL); residence as of 6/2/1860, Wood Township, Clark County, Indiana (1860 Clark County Census online).
You didn't say who exactly your children are related to via Louisa's marriage to William Coats...but I have more on William and Louisa's children, Daniel E. Coats and John Coats. (Daniel E. Coats is my husband's great-grandfather). So I have a lot more "sideways" info I could share, but that about exhausts the direct vertical lineage you may be intersted in.
I think most of my stuff is listed on my rootsweb page: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=obar13
Let me know if I can be of any further help, and if you can share any of your children's lineage/ancestors that I may not have. Feel free to email privately - OBAR13(a)aol.com.
GOOD LUCK, and glad to "meet" you!
