Bill, I don't know how helpful this will be, but my ROTH ancestors came to America from Karbach, Bavaria, and settled at least temporarily in Lanesville. Traveling with the on the Ship Manchester was a BAUER family, also from Karbach. One of the ROTH brothers married the daughter of Arnold BAUER who, unfortunately, died soon after arriving in Harrison County giving birth to their first child. The ROTH family eventually moved on to Wisconsin, but the BAUERs remained in Indiana mostly in the Lanesville area, but some went over to Clark Co.
Looking at the passenger list for the Manchester, I did not see Lorenz HIMMELHAVER nor BAUER, but apparently many other Bavarian families from that same area settled in or near Lanesville, coming at different times on different ships.
Karbach is located just west or Wurzburg. The records for St. Vitus Catholic Church in Karbach are not available in LDS records. They are archived in Wurzburg, and you would have to hire a researcher to obtain any information.
The Ship Manchester sailed from Havre in early 1854, and arrived in New Orleans on May 1 (see ISTG Vol. 3). From New Orleans, the ROTHs and BAUERs sailed up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers to arrive in Harrison Co.
Just to satisfy my own curiosity, how did Lorenz assume the name of HIMMELHAVER if his parents were BAUERS??

Bill, I show six children born to Simon (Sam) Himmelhaver and Nola (Knowley) Keithley. I would like to know the DOB for each of the children. I am assuming they all were born in Indiana. Also, would you happen to know the DOB location for Nola Keithley? This I also assume to be Indiana, probably Floyd County, and maybe Georgetown.

I am looking for any information regarding Leonard Sheets married to Condae and/or Bathana and daughter Minnie B Sheets born Sept 1886. I find Leonard in 1880 Floyd County census married to Condae and the 1900 Floyd County census married to Bathana. Are Condae and Bathana the same woman? I have reason to believe they are.
Minnie B Sheets is my grandmother.
Any help at all will certainly be appreciated.

Not sure if it's Leb's daughter or sister. In case it's his daughter, Elizabeth took younger children with her to Logansport CASS IN after death of Leb. Some of their children, and siblings, headed west.

First of all, what is your time-line. The HANDS came to New Albany ca 1818 from Cape May CAPE MAY NJ, where the families had lived for at least half a century. I believe it was a Thomas Hand and family and in-laws that came to IN. He had brothers along also. Family names were GARRISON, DAVIS, WRIGHTS and others.
Before CAPE MAY the family was in Southampton and Easthampton, LONG ISLAND NY ca 1700. Before that they were from Lynn and other towns in MA, except for brother Joseph, who went to NewHaven CT shortly after his fathers death ca 1660. He married Jane WHITE/WRIGHT in CT, possibly Guilford CT. Apparently he also went to L.I. NY.
My line, of Lemius Frisbee HAND and Elizabeth GARRISON ended up in Logansport CASS IN in last half of 1800's. My direct came to Chicago COOK IL ca 1900.
