Hi Sue!
The obit you posted last year was for the father of Karl Davis Quebbeman's wife Mary. Mary died in 2001, Karl in 1996, and their son Karl in 1998. They ran an antique store in New Albany.

I would be interested in the information that you have regarding the Criswell family. My mother was a Criswell. Her ggg? grandfather was David John Criswell, brother of Rice Criswell. Both were sons of Elijah Criswell.
Any information you could provide would be helpful.

Nancy, the 2nd serious mistake I made in the Arterburn Cousins book was concerning Presley Arterburn. He only had one wife Sarah "Sallie" Netherton, born 10 Dec 1781 Died 21 Aug 1845, Franklin, Indiana buried Hopewell Cemetery. There was no 2nd wife named Sarah LaFollette. The graves around them confused me at the time and I made a mistake and I am sorry. I also didn't realize that Sallie was the nickname for Sarah. Jan Arterburn

Try contacting the New Albany-Floyd County Library. Their Indiana Room has many files about New Albany families and businesses. Their website is http://www.nafcpl.lib.in.us/. By phone you may reach them at (812) 944-8464. Hope this helps.
