I have been told that the Cole-Palmer Cemetery is located west of Oaks Road off of State Road 64 at Edwardsville and that there is a bank at this location now. The Cole farm was located there and my cousin's husband George Cole was supposedly buried in that cemetery in 1863.
Do you have relatives buried in that cemetery?
I hope to visit that area sometime soon and see if I can find further information.

Mrs. Mary Dorothy POUTCH
The estimable wife of Charles W. POUTCH, died Saturday evening at her home, 150 Lower Main street, after an illness of several weeks. Several days before her death it was decided that her condition was such that a surgical operation would be necessary as a last resort. The operation was performed but she slowly sank until death released her from her sufferings. Mrs. POUTCH was born in this city nearly forty-one years ago. Her marriage to Mr. POUTCH occurred in 1881. She leaves one daughter, Miss Edna POUTCH, and one son, William POUTCH. She also leaves a sister, Miss Mae HERMAN. She was a member of Wesley chapel and was an esteemed Christian woman. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Wesley Chapel and there was a large concourse of sorrowing friends gathered to pay their last respects to the memory of the dead. The services were conducted by the Rev. E. R. Vest, of Seymour, formerly pastor of Wesley Chapel. The relatives and family of the deceased have the sym!

Some have written and said they would not be able to be at the reunion for
registration Friday morning, July 25th but wanted to join us during the day.
Join us when you can. The following should help in finding us.
Friday morning we will be around the Hotel until about 11 a.m. We will eat
and then meet at 1:30 for a tour of the Brinly-Hardy Company.
Have you ever been at a lawn equipment store or hardware store and saw lawn
equipment with the name of Brinly on them?
This company was started in the early 1800’s by John Brinley with Thomas
Edward Cogland Brinly and John Lyle Brinly taking leadership roles. During this
same time the spelling of their name was changed from Brinley to Brinly.
This is one company that has retained the company history either in their own
office or have turned the older records over to the Filson Club in
Louisville. The Filson Club is a library with a very large collection of old history
and genealogy records and is open to the public for research projects.
The address is: 3230 Industrial Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana. This is
across the river from Louisville, Kentucky. The following are driving
directions from the East side of Louisville at the Marriott East Inn.
>From Embassy Square Blvd. you will turn left onto Bluegrass Parkway and then
right onto Hurstbourne Parkway. You will then turn left onto I-64 West toward
Louisville. Approximately 9 miles you will take exit 5A (I-65, toward
Nashville/Indianapolis) to I-71. Take exit I-65 North toward Indianapolis to I-65
over the John Kennedy Memorial Brg. After approximately 5 miles, take exit 4
Clarksville/Cementville (IN-131/US-31). At the light at the bottom of the
ramp turn right onto Hwy 131. At the first light turn right onto Charlestown New
Albany Pike Road, go over a set of railroad tracks and immediately to your
right your will see in entrance into Industrial Park, turn right onto Industrial
Parkway. We are located about a mile down on the left hand side.
5 P.M. Friday afternoon we will meet in Veterans Park in Jeffersontown,
Kentucky, which is east of the hotel.
This area is where the home of the older Brinley history in the Louisville
area with many Brinley’s still living in the area. While reservations are not
required it would be nice if you could let us know how many would be attending
the BBQ. Please write cbrinley(a)brinley.net
Ask out how to get on Taylorsville Road or go directly to Jeffersontown and
look for a helicopter and tank on the left side of Taylorsville road after you
enter Jeffersontown if coming from Louisville area. You will be at the
Veterans Park.
Many of you know Ed Martin from California. He attended the other Brinley
reunions in Branson, Missouri over the past few years. He already had plane
tickets and rooms reserved. Ed is 74 and had a wreck because he was riding his
bicycle to fast and ran into a parked car. The last we heard he was in the
hospital unable to move his arms or legs. His family asked for prayer for him. I
guess we will have to ask him if he got a speeding ticket the first time we
can talk to him? Hopefully one of his family will write and let us know how he
is doing. Hint!
There have been many people working to help the reunion to be a success. Two
special people have been Bill Brinly from Louisville and George Brinley from
Jeffersontown. Thanks to both of them.

I would like to know where "Union" cemetery in Greenville, In. is located.
That can not be the complete, or proper name for it. I have access to many names
in Floyd Co. Cemeteries, and have located all 137 I THOUGHT. Where did you
get Info. on a "Union" cemetery. I would like to find it or get the correct name
for it. I spent a year and a half locating and recording all in the county.
I would see what info I could find on your Query in return.

I don't volunteer lookups, but if I have access to the Surname or Surnames I
would gladly send what I would have access to. But as I said, I don't do
lookups in particular. I just see a lot of Floyd co. Information from time to
