Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
At the beginning of March the question was asked about the Lottich
Bros. Funeral home. I did not see a response. Since this funeral home no
longer exists, does anyone know where the records would be or if they were
destroyed?
Thank you

Joseph and Harriet are my GGG Grandparents also. David is my GG Grandfather. Joseph and Joseph, Jr. both also went by Josiah. Harriet’s maiden name is Galloway. She was married to someone else (Lloyd) before she married Joseph. I cannot find that marriage record. The 1850 Census lists a James Floyd, as living with them it should be James Lloyd. James is Harriet son from that previous marriage. The 1850 census also list a Pricilla (age 25), Harriet M (age 5), and George W (age 2) Abbott. I found Pricilla, Harriet & George Abbott living with a Goodheart Abbott in the 1860 Census for Floyd Co. I then found a marriage record for Goodheart Abbott and Pricilla Lloyd in Floyd Co Indiana, March 12, 1843. The 1850 Census lists Harriet as 44 years old. That would put her born about 1806. The 1850 Census lists Pricilla as 25 years old. That would put her born about 1825. Harriet would then be about 19 years old when Pricilla was born. Therefore I think Harriet is Pricilla mothe!

The only records of Robert and Goodhart Jennings I can find are the 1850 census. I assume they both died before 1860.

I am trying to find Joseph’s parents. I have a very strong lead on a William Jennings and Sarah Miller. I cannot find any proof that they are his parents but the connection is very strong. I can send you information on William & Sarah if you like.
Joseph’s Obituary
A farmer named Joseph Jennings residing in Georgetown Township met his death in a horrible manner one day last week. He was cutting hay, and while leaning forward to adjust the lever on the mower one of the wheels struck a small hole or ditch causing him to pitch forward off the seat. He fell in front of the knives and the team frightened by his fall ran away, dragging the unfortunate man quite a distance, and almost literally cutting his body in half. He died the first week of July 1891.
Harriet’s Obituary
* Mrs. Joseph Jennings died suddenly at her residence near Edwardsville last night. She went to bed, about midnight she awoke her husband and before medical aid could be rendered she died. Mrs. Jennings was an old citizen and aged about 65.
* LEDGER-STANDARD MARCH 25,1877
I have Plenty of Census records on all of these Jennings listed, Plus children for James, Josiah, David and Croel. I look forward to hearing from you and hope this helps.

In looking at Fairview Cemetery records for 1919 I see many people were buried by Lottich Bros Funeral home located at 4th and Spring in New Albany. I know Lottich Bros no longer exists, but can someone who lives in the area tell me if there is currently a funeral home in that location...perhaps one that bought the Lottich Bros business from them? Thanks....
