Would anyone be willing to help index the 1930 Census for Floyd county, Indiana to put on our county page? I have already copied and finished Franklin, Greenville, Georgetownships and have already started Lafayette Townships. I got a copy of the pages from the library, runs into a little money. However, if several people worked on one township, it would be very reasonable. Or, you may prefer doing it directly from the microfilm itself. Please let me know if you are willing. This would be a name and page only index, so not a real time consumer. I have a template set up for it. If you are interested, please let me know.

I'm looking at 2 mulatto families from the 1860 census in New Albany which might belong to my ggm, MARY F RUSSELL who
was born in New Albany but moved to TX and married JAMES
SANDERS, a RR man in 1883. James was born in 1849, so
I'm guessing Mary was born bet. 1850-1860. I found two Mary
Russells from New Albany on the 1860 census from these families:
JAMES RUSSELL, 40, engr., b NC
SONIA A. 35, b NC
Sevi(?), 16,male, b IN
Mineniah(?) 14, female, b. IN
Susan 12
Mary T or F 10
Jamie H 8, male
Charles M 6
Adaline 4
Isabella 2
WILLIAM RUSSELL engr. b 1824-1830 NC
ELSA 29, b LA
William 11 b IN
Joseph 5
Charles 4
Arabella 2
Armondo 2
Mary 5 mo.
I would appreciate leads to any members of these families. Mary
died in TX (most likely Webb Co.) in the 1890's.

New Albany Indiana newspaper, Public Press, dated 29 Apr 1914 p 5 c 1
Many people called at the undertaking establishment of Newland Gwin, East Third and Market streets to view the body of an unidentified man who was kiled by being knocked from the Silver Creek bridge, a half a mile east of the city, by a Baltimore and Ohio Southwestern freight train Wednesday night, but the identity of the body has not been established. Frank Beaucond, manager for the Home Telephone Company, after looking at the body expressed the belief that it was that of a telephone lineman from Pineville, Ky., who had applied to him for employment a few days ago. Mr. Beaucond did not know the man's name.

Hi Vickie, just saw your message and might be able to help. Information that I have says Samuel Z. was born 1/20/1874 and was one of 8 children of Oscar Angus Rager and Sarah Elizabeth Norrington. Sarah Norrington was married to one of my gr. grandmother's (Lenora) brothers, Charles F. before she married Oscar. Charles and Oscar were cousins. I have been looking for quite some time for info on Lenora Rager and her husband Francis Perry, families all lived in New Albany, IN. Hope this info helps.

Hi Jayne,
I hope you are still there. This is in response to your Jan 1999 query. I trace all Bostocks, hence the interest.
I do know a bit about Daniel's descendants from the 1920 census, but wait to establish contact.
