I wonder if anyone has a cemetery book with burial listings
for Fairview Cemetery in New Albany, Floyd County? I just
received the death certificates for Joseph and Missouria
Embs. Joseph's says he was buried in New Albany 7 Mar 1925.
Missouria's says she was buried in Fairview Cemetery 18 Apr
1920. The undertaker for both was Schoppenhorst Brothers.
I am thinking that husband and wife are buried in same
cemetery. I would also like to know if there are other Embs
buried there. Thanks for any help or direction that can be
given.
Catherine

Hoping to find someone in Floyd County that can search Tax Rolls for me for Calvin J. Williams, Elijah Williams and William W. Williams. I believe Calvin J. and family moved there from Hart County, Kentucky as early as 1851 and are shown on the 1860 census as living in New Albany. Elijah and William are believed to be brothers of Calvin. Calvin's wife is Emilly, Emily or Millie. If necessary, I will reimburse for expenses.

Am searching for information on my ggg grandparents, Calvin J. Williams and wife Emily (Millie) Page Williams. Calvin and family moved to New Albany around 1859 (have found them on the 1860 Floyd county Fed census) they brought with them children Henry W., Sarah P., Rose Ann, Joanna and Joseph t. Joanna and Joseph are listed as born in Indiana around October 1859. Calvin is listed as a Master Carpenter and Henry and Sarah are listed as attending school. I also beleive that Calvin's brothers may have moved with them, they are Elijah and William W. Williams and both were working as carpenters.

Estelle, for what it's worth, I have a Mary Miller married to Benjamin Baker, son of Henry and Esther (Stockslager) Baker. I also have Isaac Murphy married to Benjamin's sister Magdalen Baker. Finally, I have John Murphy married to Elizabeth Summers, daughter of Jacob and Christina (Venis) Summers. All were in Floyd or Harrison Counties. The Bakers, Stockslagers, and Summers came to Floyd Co. from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the early 1800s.

Trying to find any information on Murphy family that resided in Floyd CO.IN around 1880.I have a Jacob, John, and William Murphy that were closely related ie brothers or cousins and a Henry Miller and a Sally Miller (who married a Murphy) that were related to this family. May have migrated from Ohio or West Virginia.Do these names look familiar to anyone? Would love to have any leads to follow.
I believe they may be connected to Burke, Park, Balthis and Stockslager Families who lived in Indiana at this time as well.
Thanks....
