Seeking information about Capt. Ben F. Welker, who was mentioned in her
obituary (which appeared in the Daily Ledger Standard of New Albany, IN
on Wed., 3 June 1881) as the brother of Susannah E. Mosier, wife of David.
The Mosiers lived on Indian Creek, 3 miles nw of Galena, in Greenville
township, Floyd County. In the 1860 census, a David Welker, age 73, born
in Penn., was listed as living with David and Susannah. Who was he? (Susannah's
mother is believed to have been Elizabeth Wiley, who was living with Susannah
and David in the 1850 Floyd County Census. Any information greatly appreciated!

Jonathan D. KELSO was mayor of New Albany 1855-56, but I find no info about
him. His wife was Mary TROXELL. His son was James Vance KELSO. James Vance
had a grandmother by the name of Elizabeth WHITE, but I don't know how
it all fits together. I think the family still has the law practice that
was started by Jonathan in New Albany. Any help will be appreciated.

the family. After searching what I could find in the Louisville area, I
am branching now into Indiana. My grandfather was Homer Earl WRIGHT (DOB:
May 6, 1908 & DOD Jan. 27, 1985).I do not have any information as to where
my grandfather was born. I have sent to the archvies dept. for Kentucky
to see if they can find his birth record. Being he was born before Ky.
starting keeping vital records, I am grasping at straws His father was
Richard WRIGHT. His mother's maiden name was Mary COLEMAN. On a different
record I have for my grandfather it states his Mother's name as May COLMAN.

Looking for info my g-g-grandparents Richard Lewis and Rebecca Fishburn(e)
of Floyd Co., IN. Richard married Rebecca Fishburn(e) Dec 4 1850 in Harrison
Co., IN. I know only two children, Anna Maria b. Sept 4 1851 and Lydia
B. born ?. Both daughters were students at the Indiana Blind School, Anna
Maria there Sept 1869-Dec 1872. Marriage records say Richard married Rebecca
Dec 4 1850. Blind school records give Anna Maria's parents as Richard and
MARTHA Lewis of New Albany, IN. Anna Maria married Wm. Riley Pryor in 1874
in New Albany. William also student at blind school. Some info says the
Richard Lewis who married Rebecca died in 1833. Something discombobulated
here... Any info greatly appreciated!
I was wondering if anyone out there that has access to Floyd Cty, IN records would look this information up for me? Charles Inman married Versalia C. Nance on 4-7-1842. Okay, now, I would like to know their birthdates, children, their birthdates, etc.

Carrie Longest and Reynold Stockline were married briefly, and there should
be a divorce on record. Carrie Longest then married Frank Parsons and moved
to Missouri. There were no children.
