HORNUNG/HORNING
by Chris and Neisha Gooden
Is there anyone on the list researching the HORNUNG/HORNING family? I am
trying to connect my 3rd great grandmother, Margaret, to the family's in
New Albany. About 10 years ago a Horning that lived in New Albany sent
my grandmother 2 pictures: one of Margaret, and one of her husband,
Phillip Siltz. Unfortunately my grandmother doesn't know who sent them.
I am positive that this man was related to Margaret or else he would not
have had these photos.
According to the census, Margaret was born in Missouri. The family moved
to KY/IN and she was married about 1868. She lived in Frankfort, KY with
her husband and children until about 1900 when they moved to New Albany,
IN. I assume this move was to be closer to her family. I have absolutely
nothing on the Hornungs and am really hoping someone can provide me with
some new information.
I have more information on Margaret and her children at my website under
genealogy/Siltz
Thank you,
Neisha Siltz-Gooden
