I believe you are correct. Here is a response I received from the file
server I'm on in Oklahoma.
No criminal. They've modified a reverse
lookup message to scare would-be spammers. It's stupid because
spammers don't care or even see this. Some admin, in an attempt to
stop unwanted posts insist that they be able to reverse trace the
route the message came from. It is estimated that 75% or better of
the addresses do not have a resolvable reverse dns table. These are
very hard to keep up and non-existent with accounts like mine. I run
across mail sites like this from time to time, and I just cut them
and their users off. If a user hollers, I recommend they find another
account. Hope this helps!
