Forgot to mention that often some would say they eloped when in essence they just
opt'd for a common law marriage -- and that only required in Ohio (and most states)
that you open a bank account in both names as married at same address and/or just state to
two other couples that you got married and then live as married from then on.

Dear Listers,
I am searching for the county in which my aunt Dorothy Eleanor Roberts
married Albert S. Butzberger on October 24. 1933.
They had eloped from north central Ohio, Through my research I had
found Union and Steuben counties had such laws, but they do not have a
record of the marriage.
If anyone can give me any guidance on this problem, I will appreciate
the help. Ordering the LDS films for all the counties in Indiana does
not appeal to me.
