Thanks Scott, that helps. (dah - sometimes it takes me a while!) Ok, so
would you maintain BOTH then - like maybe CCHelper (to link with Central,
also for archiving\indexing postings) plus the Forum for "instant" postings,
etc.? Instead of postings only being emailed to me directly, they'd be
posted in the forum? Am I gettin' the idea yet? ;)

Subject: Re: Query Forum Comment
Judy,
The way the query forum works: ALL the queries will be for Noble (or
whatever county) because each county has it's own query forum page.
They aren't lumped together in one database.
The Query forum is cleverly modified version of the very popular (unix)
program called "WebBBS". If you have done much web searching then you
have seen this program and didn't know it. It is used to create multi
threaded discussion lists often refered to as BBS or bulletin boards.
The messages show up in a hiearchy structure, the original message to
the far left and replies in subsequent indented columns.
ex:
Original message
re: original message
re:re: original message
Next message
and so on.
The querries will do the same thing. We will see the original posting
and each response below it. Even responses to responses will show up.
This will make it VERY easy to copy info from the query forum to
ccHelper and VERY easy for visitors to our web pages to get "instant
gratification" when they post a query. And that will keep them coming
back and help draw new people to our pages.

Just send an e-mail to INPCRP-L-request(a)rootsweb.com.
Leave the subject line blank and put ONLY the word "subscribe"
