Gina,
This isn't a very technical way of doing maps, but I have them on the Cass County site
to show cemetery locations. I used a 1960 platbook and made photocopies of each township.
At the top of the cemetery page are links to each map.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~incass/cemlist.html Each cemetery is numbered and a colored dot
with that number was placed at the location. Then I scanned the map and used it for the
webpage.
I would love to hear other ideas on this topic.
