Maud Louise Fisher was born on her parents farm in Douglas Township, Nemaha
County, Nebraska on 25 January 1885. She spent her girlhood on the farm
where she was born and attended grade school in that vicinity. Maud Fisher
stayed with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Stevens while she
attended high school in Beatrice, Nebraska. She was described as "a very
intelligent and highly accomplished young woman, who by her many graces and
charming manner has won the very highest regard of all those who know her".
Maud Louise Snyder married Solomon Oscar Fisher on Saturday, 16 January 1915
in Omaha, Nebraska. S. Oscar Fisher was born in Glenrock, Nebraska on 7
March 1879. He attended Peru State Normal School and Northwestern University
before going into business in Douglas, Arizona for eight years. At the time
of his marriage to Maud Snyder he was employed by the Morris Packing Company
of Omaha with headquarters in Beatrice, Nebraska. The couple lived at 712
North Eighth Street, Beatrice, Nebraska until 1919 when they moved to
Independence, Kansas. Their daughter Mary Fisher was born in Beatrice,

Solomon Oscar and Maud Snyder Fisher lived in Independence, Kansas where
Solomon worked as a salesman until about 1930 when he lost his job because
of the depression. They then moved to Auburn, Nebraska where Maud's mother
was still living.

nervous breakdown" at 4 AM, Saturday, 14 February 1931.
Maud Fisher lived in Auburn the last 34 years of her life. She was a member
of the Auburn Presbyterian Church. She was greatly interested in music and
learned to play the piano through self instruction. In later life Maud
worked as a companion for an older lady. At one time Maud's address was 720
3rd Avenue, Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Maud was an excellent cook but was of necessity rather frugel and never
seemed to have any leftovers. Her brother, Henry used to say that "what Maud
lacked in food, she made up for in conversation".
Maud Louise Snyder Fisher died on Christmas Day, 25 December 1963. She was
buried in Sheridan Cemetery, Auburn, Nebraska alongside her husband.

Hi Steve,
Very interested in talking with you. I had meet a Kemp over the internet
about 2 years ago. I had major problems with my computer right after
making
contact and never had an opportunity to exchange my information. I
am
hoping
you are that Kemp, who sent me some info on my Fisher line and had
indicated
that there was a Fisher book with Fisher information. Looking
forward to
talking more with you.
