Hi Michael,
I have indexed the Online Images 1900 Census images for the above three
Township for he 1900 Census. Similiarly what I did for the 1910/1920 Census
online images. It allows one to check the images for their surnames without
downloading everyone of the images of the subject townships. It's not all
the townships but it is a start. It's almost 1900 families(1893) names and
significant others. So one can locate easily the surnames for these three
townships and download the appropriate image (click the link) to get the
needed 1900 Census image for the surname desired. The file is only 188K
about half the size of ONE of the standard Image pages.
If you would like to place this link on the INGENWEB Dubois Co,IN webpage
please feel free to do so.

I have a quick question - in the nativity section, what is listed where?
There are 3 columns - the first is probably the person being asked abouts
birth place. Is the next column mother or father? And the third? I have never
looked at a census before. Any tips on how to read it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Amanda Ferley

The first is the birthplace of the individual, as you surmised. The second
is the birthplace of the father of the individual, the third is the mother of
the individual. Collect these from as many census you can (lifetime of
children) -- you'll be amazed at how many places one person can be born! <G>

I sure appreciate you folks making these searches easier. I had just
finished opening every .gif file in the 1900 census. My fingers are
still sore! Eagerly awaiting the other census records too!
Thanks again!
