Hello list, I don't have the exact call numbers for these books at the Jasper, Ind.
library. It is folders that index names in the Jasper paper. The names are alphabetical
with dates they were in the newspaper in the 1800's. Then you can go to the film and
read the articles and make copies. The Indianapolis State Library doesn't have this or
even all of the films. It has obits and names that were in the newspaper for any reason.

I'll be able to go
there anytime in the near future so I am curious about this index of names in
the newspaper that Donna wrote about. Is it indexed to articles in the Jasper
newspaper itself, or articles in the library, or what exactly? Here in
Indianapolis the Indiana State Library does have the following newspapers on
microfilm: Jasper Weekly Courier, years 1897-1920, the Jasper Herald from 1920 to
present, and the Ferdinand News 1906 to present. So if the names are indexed
to articles in a newspaper, that would be great. And accessible.
