I trace back to Esaw/Esan McFall who married Rebecca Conrod on October 01,
1837 in Crawford County. He according to the 1880 census had a hotel in Frenand
IN. He and his wife were parents of three children who made it to adulthood
and their only son was John Esau McFall who married Mary Ketzner and moved to
Jasper, IN where he was a lawyer. John had two girls who became nuns, one
girl who died young and two boys, William Shelby and Martin Esau who was my
grandfather.
The Census has Esaw as from New York. Rebecca is given as born in IN with at
least one parent from VA. I searched the cemeteries and find too many
Conrods to know which she was related to in what way.
Any information would be appreciated.
