I have been faced with a dilemma, and as of yet have figured out a way to research to find
the answer. If ANYONE has any suggestions, please let me know. In the 1860 census, I have
the following people in one household:
Census Page / Line Number : 0798 / 28A
National Archive Series / Microfilm Number : M653 / 255
1860 Census IN, Dubois, Ferdinand pg 798
Michael Demuth 46 M Wagonmaker b. Prussia
Catharine 40 F Bavaria
John 19 M PA
Michael 17 M IN
Mary 39 F servant Bavaria
Mary F. 2 F IN
Ferdinand 1 M IN
I am trying to figure out who the above Catharine is? Michael Demuth married the above
Mary, age 39, March 10, 1857, she is his wife. I am trying to verify, somehow, who
Catharine is? The way the census info is written, it makes it appear as though Catharine
is his wife? So far, I have not been able to locate a death or burial. If anyone has any
suggestions on where to look, please let me know.
Thank you!!
Debbie
