Paul,
There is a Dr. G. W. Traylor listed as having been a secretary of the county
board on health (year not listed) in Wilson's History of Dubois Co., pg.
279.
I am related to the Traylors--my great great grandmother was Vernesia
Traylor. Her parents were Elias Dixon Traylor and Elizabeth Gray.
I have a couple of modern-day McCains from Jasper in my database that
married into the Armstrong family.

Subject: [INDUBOIS] Surname McCain
Hello everyone!
I am looking for some help, Please.
I am researching the surname McCain and have received information from the
McCain List that there is info on my McCain line in a book at the Jasper,
Indiana library. The book is by Merl Peachee, Title unknown.
Since I am in Wisconsin I though some one on the list that lives near
Jasper
and uses the library can do a look-up for me.
I could also use the mailing address of the library since they do not have
an e-mail; address that I can find.
The McCain Line I am tracing is:
James McCain b 1801 d 1865
Married Delila Kinman b 1814 d 1874
Both I believe are buried in Bluff Cemetery, Indiana
I know of one child:
Alcy McCain b 1841 d 1876 Buried somewhere in Potoka , Indiana
Alcy Married in 1866 to George William Traylor b 1843 d 1907
I f anyone has information on this line or could help do a look-up I would
appreciate a contact.
Regards,
Paul traylor
