Iris, I Looked at the record image on findmypast
From what is written at the top of the column in the register, it
would appear that the first letter B or S is Bachelor or Spinster and
I. B. is Indo Briton (also known as Eurasian and in current terminology Anglo Indian)

I was wondering if anyone could explain what these are on a Marriage,
Charles HECTOR Married 39th June 1845 by Permission & by his name it has
(B.I.B) ? George Anna D'SILVA, under her name (S.I.B) ?
Any help understanding what these might stand for ?
