Sorry to hear about your bad experience, but I am in the Library almost
every Monday, And they have several requests by phone, mail and also dealing
with all the people who need help in the library at that time. They are also
in the process of adding records to the online site. Not to mention that the
Library was closed for quite a while, due to remodeling, and the Genealogy
Dept, was moved to a completely new building. I know Mary Lou has helped me
alot and I think she is great. Considering all the moving and trying to keep
track of where things are being moved to. And with the old film from 1916
and older it is very hard to read. And the Obits are not in one group in the
newspaper like they are now a days. They were stuck in the paper anywhere,
and usually so small. I have several I haven't been able to locate with
several attempts. So just remember to be patient, and call and check on your
research to make sure it was even received. And to the Muncie Public Library
Genealogy Staff Keep up the good work! I think your the best!

They may be super to some people, but it took 9 months for me to get
a
copy
of an obit from the library. I sent all the pertinent information
plus a
check for $3.00. asking for an obit for 1916. I had given up hope.
