Does anyone know how to contact Jennifer Lewis? She was working on the Zion Cemetery for
awhile and I lost contact with her a long time ago.

Helloooooo Shirley,
No. I don't know Jennifer Lewis but I've been going to write you.
Long story short - John Laird from California has contacted me again about Jeremiah and
Phebe (Priest) Howell who was the younger brother to John and James Howell and older
brother to Jeremiah Howell. We have a couple unidentified children that we have not
placed yet.
Years ago when I was doing research at the Ball State archives looking for info on Joshua
and John in Mt Pleasant twp, they brought out some information about the "Heirs of
James Howell" who married Abigail Sumter. All four Howell brothers came to Delaware
county from Darke and Champaign Co, OH between 1832-1835. James was Delaware sheriff at
one time. The family moved to Hartford City and he died in 1844. He is buried in
Collins.
At the time I was too overwhelmed with Joshua and John to worry about James or Jeremiah
the younger brothers. All those brothers had siblings or kids who all ended up having the
same names. Sometimes the middle initial was A, B, C or D and that gave a clue. But then
of course they would throw in a name from the wife's side to make it more confusing.
You know the problem........
However, since I'm down here in Central Florida I can't just go over and check.
So is there someone who does look up at Ball State Archives (or where ever) to find the
names of James and Abigail Howell children? He was born in Botetourt (Floyd/Mongomery)
County,VA around 1787, moved to Ohio around 1808 and then into Center twp, Delaware County
around 1832 according to land records.
I will be very happy to pay for the research. I can handle either .pdf or .jpg or .doc.
Thanks very much.
We, Leslie Green from MO and I have never found a picture of the Daniel P Howell house
yet. We are still looking. If we ever do I'll make sure the Yorktown Historical
Society gets a copy.
Thanks again and have a good week.
Micki Howell Fackenthal
