We have discovered which church someone attended by looking at their marriage record.
The person who performed the ceremony is usually listed at the bottom.
This would not be for certain, but it could be a lead.
Also, the old county histories mention church founders and early members.
If your ancestor was an early settler of a region,
you may find them in a county history listed as a founder or early member of a church.
