<<Husband: George W. Clevenger, born July 1855 in Indiana,
Wife: Mary E. Cary, born April 1854 in Indiana.
They resided in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana, per the 1880 Census.>>
<< I checked on HeritageQuest's census index and found there was a five-year
old George W. living with head of household Adeline E. Clevenger in 1860
census. That was in Delaware County IN, Monroe Twp., Richwoods P.O.
note: this
is not guaranteed to be the right George W. because there were a total
of 61
heads of household in the state of Indiana in the HQ 1860 census index. I
did not check all of them.
Others in the household at that time were William (b.OH), Ethan, Charles,
Nelson, Milton and Elizabeth (with George W. all others born IN).
Adeline may have been widowed at that time. George W. was the youngest of
the children. Adeline was 43 years old and born in NC. >>
Ed,
Here is the 1850 for this family.
I hope it is yours,
Cindy
