The Shakers also used two separate doors in every building, and the men and
women sat on different sides of the room. I am sure this was the case with
these sects also. The only time the Shakers mixed was when they "danced".

Quakers and German Baptists (Dunkers, Brethren) are among groups that
used
two separate doors in front. Other Brethren groups, such as
Amish,
Mennonites, and Moravians may have had the same practice. A German
Baptist church of that period would have no bell tower.
