Rosannah Smith joined her family in Delaware County, IN, in late 1838. In January 1839,
she purchased 55 acres in Section 30 of Liberty Township - the same quarter where the Mt.
Tabor M. E. Church & Cemetery later stood.
I have received word from Jan Dwyer that there is a female (among others) in
Rosannah's household in 1840, that was age 10-15. I have known for some time that
Rosannah and her husband, Nathan Smith (who died in Morgan County, OH, in 1827), had
"10 girls and five boys", but I am missing information on daughter #10.
What is the easiest way to view the 1840 census for his household to learn the date of
this census so other theories can be developed?
(Rosannah and her daughter, Lucy (who died in 1847) are buried at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery
with two of Lucy's children. Could the younger "daughter" also be buried at
Mt. Tabor?)
