Herman Clevenger is a third cousin of mine thru the Carmichael side of the
family.

Herman Clevenger, 66, County Farmer, dies
Herman Clevenger, 66-year-old farmer, died early Friday at the family home
in Monroe Twonship. He had been ill only a short time.
Mr. Clevenger, a lifelong resident of Delaware County, was born February 5,
1870. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tabor Church,
of which he was a member. The Reverend J. E. Slimp of Yorktown will be in
charge. Burial will be in Sunderland Cemetery.
Surviving are the widow, Jennie; a sister, Mrs. John L. Bowers of Delaware
County, and two nephews, Byron Neff of Delaware County and Guy Neff of

He was the son of Jonathan J. and Eliza (Carmichael) Clevenger.

SHORT ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. JENNIE CLEVENGER
Mrs. Jennie Clevenger, 69, widow of Herman Clevenger, Muncie, R. R. No. 2,
died at Ball Memorial Hospital Monday at 4 a.m., following an illnss (sic)
of three weeks.
Surviving are two brothers, Burton and John W. Williams; a sister, Mrs. Ada
B. Hamilton, and two nephews, Byron Neff and Guff (sic) Neff of Burbank,
Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Tabor Church by
the Reverend J. E. Slimp. Burial will be in Sunderland Cemetery.
The body will be taken from the Meeks Mortuary to the home, where friends

According to the 1900 census, Jennie Williams Clevenger was born in August
1868. Herman and Jennie were married December 20, 1896 in Delaware Co.,

one for Herman Clevenger who died in 1936? (Sorry, I do not know the date)
He was born 1870, married Jennie William and is buried Sunderland Cem.,
Del.
Co., IN
I believe him to be son of Jonathan J. and Eliza (Carmichael) Clevenger.
