Interesting. I wonder if the Marsh stores has their history on line to peruse?
There was a Marsh in the 19th IN (the famous Iron Brigade). I'm interested in it
because of that and wonder if he is an ancestor to the Marsh store line.

Hi Shirley,
I'm not doing Marsh research, but in researching my Watson family of Muncie, I came
across a deed dated May 22, 1891 which showed Frank and Cordelia Watson?(my
great-grandparents) having real estate dealings with John R. Marsh.? "This indenture
witnesseth that Cordelia C. Watson and Frank W. Watson, her husband ......Convey and
Warrant to John R. Marsh of Delaware County State of Indiana.... the following real estate
in the city of Muncie, State of Indiana, to wit:? Lot number Seven (7) in block numbr two
(2) in Coffeen's First Addition to the town now city of Muncie...."??
This would be his house on 616?E. Adams Street in Muncie.?
??
?Elizabeth
