Not related, just trying to help. As you probably know James Gagle married Flora
Freemeyer in Jay county on 22 Dec 1892, source is book CG, page 294. They had an unnamed
male child (Harold) in Jay county on 27 Apr 1905, source is book H-11, page 39. Sometime
before the 1910 census they divorced. In the 1910 census for Ohio, Mercer county, Gibson
township, Dist 113, page 4B, the family was headed by Wm Gagle, 73, married 2 times, this
time for 47 years, born in Pa and both parents in Germany, no occupation, and included his
wife Tessa, 65, married 1 time, mother of 2 of which 1 was still living, born in Ohio as
were both parents, his son James J, 42, divorced, a farm laborer, born in Ohio, and his
grandson Harold, 4, born in Ind. In the 1910 census for Ind, Jay county, Madison
township, Dist 67, page 5A, the family was headed by Laura (Flora) M Gagle, 35, divorced,
mother of 4, all still living, born in Ind, father in Va, and mother in Ohio, no
occupation, and included h!
er son Arthur E, 16, a farmer, Ind, her daughter Edith, 3, Ind and her daughter Opal, 13,
Ind. Flora M Gagle married Charles Hurst in Jay county on 3 Oct 1916, source is book CL,
page 333. In the 1920 census for Jay county, Portland Ward 4, Dist 91, page 16, the
family was headed by Flora Hersch (as spelled), 45, a widow, born in Ind and both parents
in Ohio, no occupation, and included her son Harold, 14, Ind, and her daughter Edith, 12,
Ind. In the 1930 census for Jay county, Portland, Dist 21, page 16B, the family was
headed by Harold Gagle, 24, married at 22, a cistern cleaner, born in Ind as were both
parents, and included his wife Opal, 26, married at 24, and his son Carl L, 1 3/12, Ind.
