Hello list,
I wanted to let everyone know that Mike Pearson passed away December 22. For
those of you who don't know he and Shirley were the founders of Genfest.
Shirley is a long time member of this list and both have spent numerous
hours helping researchers with look ups for Delaware & Randolph counties.
Please lift Shirley up in your prayers.
I pray that God will continue to give her the grace to make it through this
trial and that He will give her comfort in her time of grieving.
I Love ya Shirley!
Below is a memorial that Shirley wrote and Mike's obituary.

PAUL MICHAEL "MIKE" PEARSON
In loving memory of my husband, Paul Michael "Mike" Pearson - 1937 to 2007.
Mike was coordinator along with me in our GenFest events. He was so often
the engineer and idea man behind the scenes and never once took credit. He
provided the patience, opportunity and encouragement never complaining about
the many hours we put into that first event in 2005. Mike was without a
doubt the perfect husband, a devoted father, grandfather and great
grandfather. He gave 20 yrs of his life to the service of his country,
excelling in many specialized fields, 13 more as a merchant marine and still
more as a Pinkerton detective. When he got tired of those endeavors he
became a pest control expert, got bored after yet another retirement and
worked in a snow mobile factory, then taught youth to work in fast food
establishments. This world is a sadder place now and I will forever miss my
Mike. Until we meet again, my love...
