I would be interested in ANY information you have about William Daugherty.

Hello,? My second cousin L. Steve Reed of Muncie, recently visited the little Stewart
Cemetery, to visit our Rev War Patriot's burial place.? He was William Daugherty,
whose daughter married into our Reed family.? FYI? Joan in NC

Subject: [INDELAWA] Yorktown/Mt Pleasant Historical Alliance Meeting
From Becky Monroe:
Good Morning - the next Historical Alliance Meeting will be held on Tuesday,
September 22 at 7:00 pm. The topic will be the Werts Properties (Hullabaloo
area) and maybe more - depending if we have a visitor who will share some
information with us.
Please plan to attend, bring a friend or two and have your questions & comments
ready. Remember, very little of this information is documented and we need to
get as many memories and details as possible to make our files complete and
accurate.
October Meeting - Tom Schnook will give us some information about the
Revolutionary War. If you are not familiar with the Little Stewart Cemetery
near the sewage plant you might want to at least locate it on a map. We have at
least one Rev. War solidier buried there. One in Yorktown Cemetery and a
Memorial for another at Hawk.
The Little Stewart Cemetery is very difficult to get to - I apologize and
perhaps it is time for someone to approach the townboard about better access.
Hope to see you all next Tuesday.
Museum will be open this Thursday after the Yesteryears Luncheon & Program
Have a great week. Becky
A note from Shirley Pearson: I will spearhead getting better access for the
little Stewart Cemetery if I can get a bevy of people to back me up and attend a
meeting or two of the Yorktown town council. Also, supportive letters and
emails from anyone would help.
