Here is the 1930 census info:

" Ruby - wife, age 43, married, age 23 when first married, born in IN Father born
in OH. Mother born in IN
" G. Harold - son, age 18, born in IN. Occupation farm hand.
Ancestry.com is where I got the info. On the 1930 census they are taking Gilbert's
listed age of 18 and estimating his birth year to be 1912, since they don't have an
exact birth date.
As for the SSDI info: his SS# is 307-05-7437. I have never requested any SS info so not
sure what the process is. There is an order link through VitalCheck on
Ancestry.com -
SSDI, but it doesn't indicate the type of info you will get (maybe just what is
posted)
I would check the Social Security Admin. From what I can tell there are no restrictions
on requesting info through the Freedom of Information Act, about deceased people and if
there is they will deny the request. Here is the link:

Keep an open mind regarding informants who supply the burial/death info. Sometimes they
don't know and may just guess. My gr gr grandfather's death cert listed his wife
as his mother and his father as John when it is actually Nathaniel. In Ireta's case
(unless of course you know for certain) maybe the informant didn't know what happened
to Gilbert and assumed him to be deceased.
Also, you may want to contact Clark County, Nevada for a death cert (assuming they will
release it - some states require 50yrs after death) That document may help answer your
questions.

Hope this helps.............................Karen
