Joan,
I am originally from Muncie, IN. I remember seeing something about your
project a while ago. Think that I saved those e-mail. At that time,
someone mentioned a book to you called "Magic Middletown" by Dwight W.
Hoover.
I knew that I had it, but could not find it at the time. Since then, I have
been able to find it; so if there is anything I can find in there for you, I
would be happy to do so. I have a scanner, so have the ability to send you
copies of pages of this book with pictures, etc. Just let me know if I can
be of any help to you.

Subject: [INDELAWA-L] NEELY: Muncie Photographer
For a directory of Indiana photographers, I am seeking descendants of
Thomas S. Neely (1811-1901). He is listed in county histories as the first
photographer in Muncie. His son Lon M. Neely took over the photography
studio in the 1870s.
I welcome all leads and would be glad to provide information about other
Indiana photographers (1840-1900). Thanks!
