I have been lucky enough to find several people in my line with the help
of a friend (Toni). It would be great if anyone can connect or add info
to it.
I think maybe the Hartleys & Zornes traveled together, I'm told there
were Zornes in Fleming/Flemingsburg KY.
My ggrauntJEWELL ZORNES (may have been married) she owned a tavern on
Broad St. in NEW CASTLE, IN named MIDWAY
Her brother-My gguncle CHARLES ZORNES, was the county sherriff of
Henry Co. in 1937, also a member of Eagles. May have been married.
His sister (my ggrandma) CENA ZORNES (died before 1937 maybe in IN)
JAMES HARTLEY m. CENA ZORNES (both from Fleming, KY) about 1902-1904
probably in Fleming, Ky.
They had the following children:
LAURA HARTLEY 1904-1992 m. RAYMOND GROCE 1904-1985, had 2 children-1 son
is named Jack
ANNA HARTLEY no dates but 2nd born child m. LEWIS BOGGS & resided in
DUNKIRK, IN. May have a daughter
MARVIN E. HARTLEY 1913-1970 m. CHRISTINE GODSEY 1919-1996
these are my grandparents!!
CHARLES JESSEE (JACK) HARTLEY
1916-1937 Never Married buried beside Laura & Raymond Grose in New
Castle, IN
