<< Hi Shawn
I sure would appreciate it if you could give me some help.
It involves finding some information about my 2G grand dad Asa Davis.
The Asa Davis / Delaware Co connection is that Asa was married in Delaware Co
on 21 Dec 1846 to Mary Jane Branson. They were married by a Justice of the
Peace. Specific location in county unknown.
I do not know where Asa and Mary Jane lived for the next three years but in
the 1850 Fed Census they show up in Madison Co and also in 1860.
Mary Jane's parents were from Green Twp Wayne Co but she had two uncles,
Isaac
and Mahlon Branson who lived in Delawre Co. Mahlon died in 1845 and Isaac in
1858.
My problem is that I have been unable to find when Asa Davis showed up in
Delaware Co and whether he was there with his parents whose names have
escaped
me for nearly two years.
There was a land purchase by an Asa Davis in 1838 in Washington Twp of
Delawre
Co and that is all I know about him in Delaware CO.
Asa was born someplace in OH in 1818 and his parents were both born in NJ
according to his census record. Asa died in IL but no info was available
relative to his youth.
Thanks for helping.
