Aldean,
Hello,
I made a phone call to the man Bob Smith who runs and has the cemetery
books for Jones cemetery his phone # is (765) 759-8327.
Bob read to me over the phone from the Cemetery book the following:
He says these are the only Stafford's buried in Jones Cmty. and that
Your John you were
asking about is not in the section and that his death year is not 1927.
Below is what he
read me.
Jones Cmty book:
John Stafford died: April 7,1926
age: 59 yrs old
buried in Section 209 of the OLD PART
(notes on in the cmty. book are as follows: John Stafford and Mrs.Jane
Curts bought
the block on Nov. 4,1922, The Stafford's are buried on the North 1/2
of this block
and the Curts are buried on the South 1/2 of this block)
Buried in same block as John Stafford is the following:
Ella Stafford died Oct. 10, 1932
age 63yrs.
Also in this same section as John and Ella there are 2 children
listed as being
buried there but there are no names of the children or no dates or
ages.
In the South 1/2 of this block is the Curts family there are 7 people
listed as being
buried in this 1/2 two of the Curts listed are James and Eliza Jane
Curts
*****************************DEATH CERTIFICATE************************
Okay now that I had the info from the Cmty. I called the Delaware
Co.Indiana (Muncie)
Health Department back there phone # is (765) 747-7721 (Birth & Death
records)
There was listed for John Stafford who died 4-7-1926 the following
Death certificate.
I just asked for the following info I don't think there is any other
info but possible.
I asked for the following from the death cert.
John Stafford's birth place : NONE LISTED
John Stafford's Spouse: Listed Ella
John Stafford's Father: Listed THOMAS STAFFORD born in OHIO
John Stafford's Mother: Listed MARTHA (WINE) born in OHIO
Well as you can see from the Death Certificate that Ella is the same
person who is buried with him in Jones Cmty. I would venture to say that
Ella may of been a Curts just
my guessing here on her maiden name? Well I hope this helps.
Good Luck

Goodmorning and Happy Thanksgiving,
I do not know if this is possible, but I found a John Stafford buried in
Jones Cemetery, MT. Pleasant, section 6 that I need to find out something
on. He is listed as dying 4/7/1927 and I was wondering if there was someone
who could look at his death certificate to see who his father is. My John
would have a Joseph Stafford as father and Elizabeth Brown or Kelso as his
mother. John was born, possibly, in Shelby Co. If someone could check this
out for me I would be very grateful.
Please could someone let me know one way or another?
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Aldean Tendick
